Everything But The Wine

Kedco Wine Storage Systems is a family-owned and operated business that started out of a garage in 1970 when Lou and Helene Windt saw an opportunity for a more efficient way for retailers to display wine bottles. Our early Spacemaker bottle displays eventually grew into our KM and Black Steel series of commercial wine racks. Through word of mouth, residential customers discovered our racks and quickly began using them in home applications. Standard and custom refrigeration solutions were integrated to accommodate long term storage requirements.

After two moves to larger facilities, we found a home at our current location in Farmingdale, NY. Our current space enables us to have both a full showroom of wine racks and wine storage equipment and a department devoted to home wine and beer making. We stock a wide range of equipment and supplies ranging from hops and specialty grains to grape concentrate kits and wine additives.

Kedco has been providing retailers, restaurateurs, hoteliers, and home owners with wine display and storage equipment for over fifty years. Our showroom has hundreds of items including temperature controlled cabinets, dozens of styles of wine racks, openers, and accessories. We showcase examples of custom wine room designs and racking to provide examples of different racking formats and styles. We also have examples of functioning refrigeration equipment on hand for customers to see and hear.

Summer 2022 Update

It is with great sadness, we have to inform our friends, clients and customers, of the passing of our co-founder Helene Windt. Through the decades since our inception in 1970, she has been an integral force in our company. From the humble beginning in their garage, to the multiple moves through the years, to our own and current location in Farmingdale, she was the push to seek the next level. She was the inspiration behind our home wine and brewing department as well as multiple product lines. Up until recently, she could be found in her office 6 days a week, working on new projects, but always with time for a hello to all.
